To Greig Smith,
L.A. City Councilman, 12th District

Dear Greig:

As an activist, I supported Dennis Zine when he ran for council. I did so because he indicated to me that he was against Special Order 40. Then he did an about face for reasons that appear to be politically motivated at the expense of throwing public safety out the window.

Now I am experiencing deja vu.

When you ran for council, I asked you what your position was on Special Order 40. Here's what you answered.

"I am, and always have been, opposed to Special Order 40. Particularly in these times when our survival and safety are at risk due to foreign nationals intent on destroying us."

Greig Smith

I was so elated that finally someone would be elected to the council who would vote to protect the safety of Angelenos, that I actively supported you by attending all your debates and your rallies. I even made a modest donation and urged others to do the same. So what do you do? According to the Daily News you voted for Zine to go to Washington to defend Special Order 40. Disgraceful, don't you think?
